Vita Food Products, Inc. (“Vita Foods” or the “Company”) announced its sale to an entity formed by Howard E. Bedford. Prior to the transaction, Mr. Bedford served as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors and represented the Company’s largest shareholder.

BellMark Partners, LLC acted as the financial advisor to the Company’s Special Committee of the Board in connection with the transaction.

Vita Foods is a leader in the U.S. retail packaged seafood and condiment markets. The Company’s product offering include salmon and herring; cocktail, tartar, and horseradish sauce; honey, salad dressings, and barbecue sauces. The Company’s products are sold under the Vita®, Elf®, and Grand Isle® brands.

Howard Bedford served as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors since May 2006. He is also President of the Bedford Group, an investment, estate, and tax advisor to high-net worth individuals.
